Outfits of the Day :: Summer 2020 📍

I wear clothes that generally fit, I collect leather accessories (primarily purses, shoes, and jackets), and I enjoy gold jewelry. That’s worth seeing, right? Yes it is. Be advised, I’m not a fashion blogger, I’m not tall, I’m not a size two – and here I am anyway!

These OOTD posts are a personal time capsule, and a visual log of outfits that work for me (or don’t!). For the sake of variety I’ll try to avoid showing repeat outfits in a single season, but no promises. For geographical reference I am in North America (USA), Central Arkansas. GOOD • I’m s-l-o-w-l-y shrinking back down to my pre-pregnancy size, so my clothes are fitting better and I’m able to wear older clothes again – yay! Seeing various combinations of clothes & accessories makes me happy.

BAD • Not too bad, but I am rethinking my Style Uniform. I still gravitate towards its simplicity, but then I can’t help myself when I see teal leggings (not in said uniform) because I love bright colors and weird cuts. Many years ago an old co-worker once commented my combination of bright clothes & black was always interesting. I guess I’ll never grow out of needing vibrant pieces!

ALSO • I will add specific details about individual pieces of clothing as I can, but a lot may simply be brand and size; don’t expect style names or season for everything.

Summer & COVID-19 means that we’re staying home and indoors much more than anticipated. My heat tolerance has significantly diminished, and I am still debating whether or not I really need structured pants in my life. Leggings for stay-at-home-writers don’t seem lazy anymore, it’s become practical (especially when stepping over baby gates). So…I hope you’re ready to see leggings.
